This might not seam like a sewing post at first glance but more like a travel journey but I want to talk about the shirts I'm wearing on these pictures:
The Shirt Amsterdam by Schnittliebe - a simple basic pattern with a variety of sleeve and neckline opportunities.
The first version I sewed was this white short sleeve t-shirt with a high neckline as I was lacking a white shirt in my wardrobe.
Combined with my Ginger Jeans it has been my outfit during a visit in Milano and I'm for sure not disapointed by the look!
I sewed a second version of the shirt Amsterdam right away.
This time I chose the low back neckline, and this turnes the classic grey shirt into a real eye-catcher. Both necklines where a really simple sew thanks to the great explanations in the pattern!
I sewed these two shirts out of two beautiful viscose jerseys I bought from Rapantinchen. Both are 93% cotton and 7% elasthan - really light and soft
Combined with a blazer both shirts are also wearable to work and they quickly became a staple of my wardrobe.
All good things come in three therefore I had to sew a third shirt Amsterdam, right?
This time I adjusted the neckline myself to get a lower cut in the front and not in the back. I simply transferred the lower back neckline to the front pattern and vice versa.
The fabric is a green jersey from a local fabric store and not just as soft as the viscose jersey but still really comfortable.
I didn't found the fabric myself to be honest. It was my boyfriend who went with me in the fabric store and discovered it while I was buying other fabric. He pointed it out to me and I immediately knew it has to become another shirt for me but also a shirt for him as he requested it. So now we have cheesy sweet couple outfits and I'm really happy about that.
In total I sewed myself a good bunch of basics to wear in the upcoming years and I totally fell in love with this pattern by Annika from Schnittliebe. So you should check it out if you are looking for a great shirt pattern!
